Carbon Steel Processing Speeds HyDefinition processes carbon steel faster than a laser in the 0.125 to 0.375" range. Speeds are slower than conventional plasma but the quality and accuracy is significantly improved.  It is important to note that each material type and each material thickness requires the selection of an appropriate electrode, nozzel, swirling ring and  other plasma and HyDefinition  torch components.
